The best of your letters, comments and social media this week Heathrow: ‘It’s no surprise Paris CdG is growing faster’
Story: Heathrow ‘faces losing out to Paris Charles de Gaulle’ The UK is already connected to the world. London has six airports whereas Paris only has three, so it’s no surprise that there is a bit more growth at CDG. Interestingly, the two domestic routes quoted in this story [Flybe links to Newquay and Guernsey] both cease at the end of March, so expect domestic numbers [at Heathrow] to fall away as regional hubs continue to grow. Brian Roberts
Ashley Quint @LuxuryTravelled TravelTime World I’m definitely talking the same language as [Mark Swords] in @travelweekly. In-putting info into multiple systems & glossy front-ends to old systems (which don’t work properly)? No! Now is time for useful automation, modern front & back architecture including AI/machine learning
Mark Duguid @markduguid Carrier I just said the word “snazzy” on stage in front of 140 people and am officially mortified #carrierawards
