1. Caribtours treated all its staff to a trip to Barbados for the weekend to celebrate the luxury tour operator’s 40th birthday. They flew with British Airways and stayed at Saint Peter’s Bay Luxury Resort & Residences. Nine members of the team were handed long-service awards. 2. A dozen agencies were represented at a trade event hosted by Leeds Bradford airport this month. Independent agency Carrick Travel treated its 50 members of staff to a celebratory conference to mark its 45th anniversary. The 12-branch agency’s event was held at Mallory Court Hotel in Leamington Spa, along with 19 operators. 4. Kuoni took six of its top sellers for the Indian Ocean to Mauritius on its Kuoni Worldwide fam trip. Sandra Louise Lambert, from Dream Travel, won the 2019 Indian Ocean Worldwide College award after an exam to test the agents’ knowledge.
