INDULGE IN IRELAND’S GASTRONOMY SCENE
The island of Ireland is home to an incredible food scene with an abundance of experiences and festivals. Here are some ways to enjoy what’s on the menu
can visit to enjoy the delicious food across the island of Ireland, including at one of the 16 Michelin-starred restaurants, such as Eipic and Ox in Belfast and L’Ecrivain and The Greenhouse in Dublin. As well as fine dining, there is an abundance of cosy pubs and family-run cafes where your customers can enjoy some home-cooked delicacies.

Purchase some local produce The island of Ireland is home to some
excellent fresh food, from Waterford Blaa to Clonakilty Blackpudding. Meanwhile, it’s hard to find seafood as fresh as what is offered along the Wild Atlantic Way. Farmers’ markets are one way customers can indulge in the fresh produce.
Sample some Irish tipples From gin to whiskey distilleries, there are
many places your customers can visit for tours and tastings. At Slane Irish Whiskey in County Meath, visitors can combine a distillery tour with a castle tour. In Ireland’s Ancient East, Royal Oak is one of the biggest distilleries, while Northern Ireland’s Shortcross Gin Distillery is a must for gin lovers.

Try out a foodie experience Foodie experiences are the next big thing
if your customers want to enjoy a unique way of indulging in the local cuisine and the island of Ireland is home to more than 500 of them. Wild foraging, fishing, and chocolate tastings are some experiences they can have, along with cooking and baking classes, oyster shucking and seaweed kayaking tours.

Taste the Island celebrates the island of Ireland’s excellence in food and drink, with great events and high-quality local ingredients. It runs from September to November for the next three years, with more than 300 events including:

The Common Travel Area, which allows the free movement of people between the United Kingdom and Ireland, will remain in place post-Brexit. Therefore, there will be no travel restrictions between the UK and Ireland.
