Travel Network to promote cruises with event series
The Travel Network Group is to push cruise sales among its members by hosting eight exclusive ship visits and cruise line events this year. Between July and October, members of the consortium’s Cruise Club, along with their staff and customers, will be able to attend VIP days in conjunction with MSC Cruises, Holland America Line and Saga Cruises, as well as events hosted by other cruise lines. Group marketing director Si Morris-Green said: “The best way for agents to sell cruises is by having first-hand experience of the ships and what they offer.” A two-day seminar will be held
in Southampton on two Oceania ships, with an overnight hotel stay and dinner. A cruise forum will enable agent managers and cruise specialists to meet on a ship and discuss the industry’s direction. In addition, three Cruise & Maritime Voyages steering group visits will include presentations, lunch and a ship tour in Liverpool, Hull and Bristol. Personalised videos of agents
on ship visits can be used by members in their social media and
local marketing activities.
