SuperBreak adds ‘Explore by Rail’

Juliet Dennis juliet.dennis@travelweekly.co.uk

SuperBreak has introduced ‘Explore by Rail’ breaks in a new- look UK Short Breaks brochure.

The programme features more

than 575 hotels, of which 90 are new to the operator, and puts an increased focus on packaged breaks and experiences. The Explore by Rail breaks offer

three and four-star hotels within a mile of a train station. Destinations featured are nationwide. The Explore the South Coast

break, from £199, includes four nights’ B&B in Bournemouth and an Explore by Rail train ticket

JUST OUT: Features 90 new hotels

to explore the New Forest, go shopping in Lymington or enjoy a day out in Weymouth or Salisbury. In the brochure, brackets are used to highlight what is included

“The new look and feel is a natural progression and takes us into the next phase”

in SuperBreak holidays – for example, the destination plus the hotel, travel, tours and experiences that make up a package. The aim is to make it easier

for agents to highlight products to clients that can be added to their break, all of which are commissionable, said national sales manager Graham Balmforth. He said: “The new look and

feel is a natural progression for SuperBreak, taking us into the next

phase of our growth. Our product has developed so much over the past few years and more than 50% of all our short breaks sold include two or more add-on elements. We constantly develop ways to appeal to customers, and this brochure highlights a host of new packages.” Among the new packages

are Restoring Windsor Castle (after the fire) private tour; the exhibition Diana: Her Fashion Story, at Kensington Palace; more

murder mystery breaks; and a Downton Abbey guided tour at

Highclere Castle. ● SuperBreak has also revealed plans to run its largest-ever TV

campaign later this summer. superbreak.com/agents
