Cuba Holidays plans more events to spur trade sales

Cuba Holidays has begun a charm offensive with the trade to increase awareness of its product range in the country.


The operator, set up two years ago as the trade arm of The Holiday Place, has pledged to host regular trade events nationwide following its first travel agent evening. The event in London this week


was due to be attended by nearly 150 agents and hosted with partners Iberostar and Virgin Atlantic, with giveaways including flights, fam trips and hotel stays. National trade sales development manager Alan Meadows said the operator was now looking to hold around four agent events a year as it targets trade business more proactively. “This is
