Tui gives lakes and mountains range the magazine treatment

Tui has published the newest edition of its Discover Lakes & Mountains range in the style of a magazine. The 56-page publication includes recommendations to help readers narrow down the options for their next summer holiday, plus lists of festivals, walks and family adventures, as well as features on thermal spa resorts and mountain railways. Managing director Chris

Logan: “We’ve filled our Discover magazine with top tips about the Italian lakes and Austrian mountains and our less well- known lakes and mountains destinations. Switzerland, Slovenia and Germany have also got space to shine. “You can find out all there is

to know about Lake Garda, from picking the right resort and accommodation to filling your time on those long, sunny days. Or read about our Lake Como versus Lake Maggiore article

NEW LOOK: Tui’s Discover is a magazine not a brochure

which will help you to decide which of the Italian lakes is right for you.” The first edition of Discover

Lakes & Mountains features a bucket list of “must-dos” in Austria, including ascending to the highest point in the country, the Grossglockner peak, and walking the skywalk on the Dachstein glacier. Prices start from £479 per person based on four sharing for a week. tui.co.uk/destinations/ lakes-and-mountains

LAUNCH: Wendy Wu hosts event in London promoting operator’s new tours to the tomb of China’s only female empress

She said: “There was only one

female empress and although she was not from Shaanxi she ruled over the powerful region. “We will be among the first

tour groups to take foreign tourists to the site. It is only Chinese

tourists that know where it is.” Wendy Wu Tours is also hoping

to be among the first operators to offer tours to the world’s largest wild panda reserve in Shaanxi

province once it is built next year. wendywutours.co.uk
