Virgin Atlantic adds 43,000 seats from Manchester for 2020
Virgin Atlantic is to boost capacity from Manchester next summer by 11%, adding 43,000 seats to Orlando, Barbados and Las Vegas. There will be 10,000 extra
seats to Barbados, with frequency rising from twice-weekly to three times a week. The carrier will offer two
additional weekly flights to Las Vegas, boosting capacity by 10,000 seats. Frequency to Orlando will
rise to 14 flights a week, adding 23,000 seats. Virgin Atlantic will also add
two extra weekly flights from Gatwick to Orlando, offering up to 18 a week in the peak season.

Celebrity launches packages featuring choice of four perks

Celebrity Cruises is launching a trio of onboard packages to allow passengers to “personalise” their sailing. Called Sail Your Way, the three packages give access
to four perks: premium-drinks packages, included gratuities, unlimited Wi-Fi and $300 onboard spend. From November 19, UK and Irish passengers can
choose the Sail All Included package, which features all four onboard perks; Sail Plus, which includes two of the four perks; or Sail, which is a sail-only package. Sail All Included costs £65 per person per day, while
Sail Plus costs either £35 per person per day with the drinks package or £25 per person per day without. Suite-class passengers will automatically receive all
four benefits. Sail Your Way will be available on all Celebrity
Cruising Excursions kicks off
expansion of its sales team Cruising Excursions has recruited Kirsty Bachelor from wholesaler HotelsPro as trade sales manager. Bachelor’s appointment is part of a wider expansion of the sales team at the shore excursions provider, which will involve three additional roles being filled in the coming months: a travel trade executive and two personnel in the guest relations team.

Stirrup, said: “Sail Your Way has been designed in response to feedback from guests who have asked for more flexibility. It’s our most flexible campaign to date.” Sail Your Way launched to the US market in April,
but Stirrup said the new packages had been specifically tailored for UK and Irish passengers. From November 19 to March 3, 2020, the third,
fourth and fifth passengers on a booking will qualify for a 50% saving on their cruise fares.
