Te new boss of Independent Travel Experts aims to consult members on how to boost the homeworking firm’s profile and numbers in 2020. Gary Gillespie, former head of


trade sales at Super Break, which collapsed when parent the Malvern Group went into administration on August 1, has taken the new role of managing director at The Travel Network Group’s 120-strong homeworking arm. Reporting to chief operating


officer Lisa Henning, Gillespie plans to put together a growth strategy for next year using feedback from homeworkers at next week’s ITE conference in Portugal. He said: “This will be an


opportunity to meet as many homeworkers as possible and ask their priorities for the coming year. “I’m definitely looking to grow


the numbers but it’s a case of quality rather than quantity.


Conlon invests in TourHound and takes chief executive role


Seamus Conlon, former chief executive of Cruise.co.uk, has joined touring and adventure aggregator TourHound as chief executive and investor. Conlon is understood to have


made a “substantial investment” in the business to “enable it to accelerate its growth plans”. He stepped down as
