A Giving back Mental health charity Mind has been chosen as our 2022 Globes partner

The Globe Travel Awards is a great chance to catch up and celebrate with friends and colleagues, but that’s not the only way this event brings the industry together. With a proud history of partnering with leading charities each

year, the Globes is a chance for the industry to unite behind a common cause and give back to those who need it most. In 2022, the chosen charity partner for the Globe Travel

Awards is mental health organisation Mind, which offers advice and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem. The organisation also campaigns to improve mental health services, raise awareness and encourage understanding. A recent survey by Mind found that 65% of adults and 68% of young people who have experienced mental health problems say it has got worse since the first national lockdown, with many having experienced problems for the first time. Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley said: “We’re pleased to announce Mind as our selected charity for next

year’s Globes. Since launching our Mental Health Matters series in 2019, we have heard from people across all sectors of the industry who have been affected by mental health issues. “With the pressures of the pandemic adding to the demand for mental health services, we know all those at the Globes will join us in our fundraising efforts to support this charity at a time when its services have never been more needed.”

One in four UK adults experience a mental health problem every year. Money raised for Mind will go towards running services including the Mind Infoline, legal line and online peer support

community Side by Side. Q Mind has a confidential information and support line available Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, at 0300 123 3393

Q Information and additional resources are also available at mind.org.uk/information-support

We would like to say a massive thank you for your nominations and support over the past two years. We really can’t thank you enough!
