Caribbean tourism organiZation Summer Ball 2019

Almost 300 travel industry professionals attended the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s lavish Caribbean Summer Ball in London last month. The night opened with a spectacular

performance by the Zil’oKA Drummers and Dancers, who brought the traditional music of Guadeloupe and Martinique to the capital, and ended with an impressive performance by Asher Otto & Itchyfeet, sponsored by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. “The CTO is delighted with the

overwhelming support we received for this event,” said Carol Hay, the CTO’s director of marketing for the UK and Europe. “The proceeds from our raffle and silent auction raised £8,525, all of which will be donated to the CTO’s Scholarship Foundation to assist Caribbean nationals wishing to further themselves in their tourism and hospitality industry studies.” The Summer Ball was held at the

plush five-star Chelsea Harbour Hotel, overlooking the Thames.
