CAREER OPPORTUNITY Sales Executive (Ref: SEUK/10/18/2)

EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, 4 years airline or travel industry sales experience with a minimum of 2 years in a support/account management role and:
• Commercial experience working with travel trade partners • Proven account management skills • Good influential selling skills • Natural Relationship builder • Knowledge of GDS platform
NB “Applicants not having a Degree but having worked for a minimum 4 years in the Sales field of an airline/travel related industry will also be considered”
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND COMPETENCIES
Self-starter with strong sales, planning, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills across all levels of hierarchy, in particular:
• Pro-active and positive • Proven sales drive and ability • Good negotiator • Comfortable analysing data • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills • Reservations and Ticketing knowledge preferred but not essential • Good written and oral English language skills • Ability to work under pressure and to short lead times

Contracts Manager
A fantastic opportunity to join the UK’s leading specialist tour operator for Latin America, with responsibility for managing the contracts & loading team to help meet the sales, marketing and product needs of the business.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the contracts & loading team to ensure rates and related informa- tion are received, communicated and loaded into the reservations system (Travel Studio) and website. Oversee quality, efficiency and consistency of rates and customer information loading; prioritising team tasks accord- ingly.
Work within the broader Product team in contracting with suppliers; over- see regular commercial analysis to maintain Journey Latin America’s edge as market leader for the region. Constantly seek to refine and improve in- ternal processes and procurement of rates. Develop and maintain appro- priate Management Information reports. Participate as a member of the Product Department team to help shape the overall development of the department and broader business.
Skills & experience:
Successful track-record in rates management, negotiation and contracting within the travel industry. Organised, numerate, customer focussed, keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, experience in managing people & projects. Knowledge of reservations and web systems essential. Educated to degree level and travel experience in Latin America an advan- tage.
Immediate start. Excellent remuneration package. Contract Type: Full time permanent.
