PICTURES FROMTHE FRONTLINE OF TRAVEL

1. GIVE US A WAVE, DAVE: Travel Counsellors agents meet world adventurer Dave Cornthwaite (centre) at Salford Quays as part of the company’s TCTalks programme of motivational speakers. Cornthwaite is best known for Expedition1000, a mission to complete 25 non-motorised journeys of more than 1,000 miles across the globe.

2. BAGS OF KNOWLEDGE: Not Just Travel’s Ian Fleming (left) and Susan Fleming (right) are presented with Sandals-branded suitcases, prosecco and other goodies by the resort operator’s Lorraine Adams after winning at a Sandals & Beaches quiz night at Duxford Imperial War Museum in Cambridgeshire.

3. MALAY OK!: Travel agents visit the Warisan Sari hospital in Terengganu on one of Malaysia Airlines’ biggest fam trips. Thirty agents flew on the airline’s new Airbus A350 to Malaysia, where the group was split for two separate week-long itineraries.

4. TOP CHOP: Hays Travel’s Alexandra Turner Davis (left) and Chloe Parker (right) hand over a cheque for £13,000 to sisters Holly (centre left) and Sadie Stoner to help with their travel and training costs at the English Karate Federation.

5. BABY STEPS: Lucy Patterson of Do Something Different may be on maternity leave but that did not stop her giving baby son James a spot of training with his first sales call, to Julie Newman of Kelly’s Travel Services in Worcestershire.
