Travel agent updates from Birmingham airport’s Tom Screen
Hi everyone,
We’ve had an exciting time welcoming passengers through our doors, retailers opening their shutters and aircraft taking off on our runway once again since May 17; the start of the end of a very difficult period. Although the green list is still quite short and there has been much confusion about travelling to amber countries, we are seeing a steady increase in passenger volumes thanks to services available with Ryanair and TUI to Portugal, Spain and Greece, and Eastern Airways to Gibraltar. Later in June will see the return of Jet2holidays’ and
Jet2.com’s programme, and easyJet will launch new sunshine routes from Birmingham, at which time we hope the green list will have been greatly expanded. Our departure lounge also returned to a familiar sight as World Duty Free reopened, as well as a number of other retailers and eateries.
The Thursford Christmas
Spectacular departs from the northwest and Yorkshire on December 13, costing £274 for four nights’ half-board accommodation in Great Yarmouth, an excursion and admission to the Thursford Spectacular evening show. The Blackpool Psychic Weekend
holiday departs on March 11, 2022, from the northwest, Yorkshire and Midlands. It costs from £159 which includes three nights’ half-board at the Queen’s Hotel, Blackpool, two excursions and two evenings with spiritual medium Jane Dawson. Limited availability remains for
the Andre Rieu Spectacular, which has departures from the northwest in April 2022. It costs £329 for four nights’ half-board in Blackpool, an excursion to Southport and tickets to see Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra in Manchester or Liverpool.
