after four years away Avalon Waterways will return to Egypt this year, offering an itinerary featuring a Nile sailing. The line operated Egyptian itineraries until 2016, but sold to markets only outside of the UK. The 10-day A Taste of Egypt trip, featuring a five-day cruise from Luxor to Aswan, starts at £2,732, including flights and transfers.

A&K adds cruise of
Iceland and Greenland Abercrombie & Kent is offering excursions led by mountaineer Alex Pancoe for passengers on its new Ultimate Iceland & Greenland Cruise next summer. Pancoe, who has reached the North and South Poles, will take guests to the top of Eldfell volcano and kayaking in a fjord. The 15-day cruise, on board Ponant’s 264-passenger yacht Le Boreal, starts at £13,555, including flights.

Pacific Princess to
sail in Med next year Princess Cruises is to deploy 670-passenger Pacific Princess in the Mediterranean from June to October 2021. It will be the line’s seventh ship sailing UK and European itineraries. Prices lead in at £2,299 for the 12-night Mediterranean Connoisseur cruise on Pacific Princess, departing from Rome (Civitavecchia) on August 15.
