Travel With Jules prints 28-page agency brochure

An independent travel agency is producing a 28-page brochure to promote what it does and ensure it atracts the right clients. Travel With Jules has taken the
novel approach instead of spending on digital or print advertising. Director Julie Croucher, who runs
the business from an office in her garden in Suffolk, specialises in tailor- made and bucket list trips, and books mainly through Aito operators. “At the recent Aito conference, we
heard how it was more important to spend on your brand than advertising and that’s why I am spending money on a brochure,” she said. “We wanted something that
looked professional. I want to grow my existing market and, for new enquiries, get across that we care and that what we do is not an off-the-peg holiday but a trip of a lifetime. “I always had difficulty getting

across that we are luxury, bespoke travel planners, not a run-of-the-mill travel agency. We get in a pickle if asked to do the Canaries, but we’ll do a round-the-world trip with a camel trek no problem. I want to get to a stage where if we get a £500 Canaries enquiry, it’s easier to say no, although we would do it for existing clients.” It’s the first time the agency
has invested in its own brochure, which will feature holiday ideas and highlight the benefits of booking
CALLED TO THE BARR: Barrhead Travel opened three branches in time for peaks. The shops, in Widnes, the Isle of Wight (pictured) and Newcastle-under- Lyme, opened days before Christmas, and followed openings in Burnley and Liverpool. Stores in Oldham, Halifax and Plymouth are due to open this month, as the agency strives to open 20 shops by the end of March as part of a longer-term goal of 100 new stores. Barrhead, which has recruited more than 100 former Thomas Cook staff, now has 88 stores, including its managed service travel partners. Among the 20 shops due to open by the end of March are stores in Wallasey, Northwich, Warrington, Doncaster and Stockport.

with Travel With Jules, including its Ambassador Club for loyal customers. It will also explain the agency’s ‘Plan To Go’ fee which it charges for complex bookings and is deducted from the price once booked. Hard copies of the brochure
will be sent to existing clients at the end of January as well as electronic versions to new customers. The agency is also planning to
revamp its website to make it easier to navigate.
