A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR I

n recent weeks I’ve been thinking about my personal and professional goals. While I’m an ambitious person, I don’t think I’ve ever really spent much time plotting my own growth. But that all changed on attending the Carrier Retreat in Corfu this month (May) alongside some of the luxury operator’s top agency partners. As a group we took part in a life coaching session with Sinead Healy from Marmalade Development. I always assumed coaching would be of no DGPGƂV VQ OG DWV 5KPGCFoU YKV CPF GOQVKQPCN KPVGNNKIGPEG HWGNNGF OG to start thinking about my wants from life. She asked us to question what we really want, what’s hindering us and what steps we can take to bring on change for the better. She also encouraged us to say no more and to cut out habits or issues that foster negativity. The session had a real impact on me, and it clearly did for the agents too, as many leapt into action straight away. We’re often caught in a cycle, and it’s important to take stock from time to time to ensure we’re achieving our full potential personally and professionally. At our annual conference, Leaders of Luxury, we always strive

to ensure our attendees leave inspired, educated and excited for the opportunity to grow their business. We have some outstanding speakers lined up (page 10) and I hope our audience leaves with the UCOG UGPUG QH TGƃGEVKQP VJCV + FKF HTQO VJG %CTTKGT 4GVTGCV Alongside this edition of Aspire [QWoNN CNUQ ƂPF VJG UGEQPF instalment of The Insider dedicated to all things expedition and adventure.
