Maxx Royal expands Turkey range with opening of Bodrum Resort
Turkey has gained a new upmarket property with the opening of Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort, offering 282 suites and villas. The hotel has seven restaurants and six bars, including venues from celebrity chefs
Wolfgang Puck and Alfredo Russo. There’s also an outpost of New England-inspired London restaurant The Maine. The property boasts a five-bedroom Presidential Villa with heated seawater pool,
steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. It also has a private fitness centre. All villa guests staying seven nights or more will enjoy a complimentary trip on the Maxx Royal yacht. The hotel’s spa has 20 treatment rooms, while the Maxxi Land children’s club
claims to be the largest in the region. Access is inclusive for kids aged three to 12. Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort becomes the brand’s third property in Turkey, joining
Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort and Maxx Royal Kemer Resort in Antalya. Nightly rates start from €875 based on two people sharing a luxury suite with a sea
view including breakfast.

Jumeirah has embarked on a “journey of brand evolution” with the unveiling of a new visual identity including a redesigned signature symbol, brand video and website. The brand said the move marked a “key milestone” in its aim to double the size of its portfolio by 2030. Jumeirah’s “renewed vision” and investment strategy will focus on boutique-style properties with up to 150
rooms and prioritising suites, villas and residences. The company plans to expand its portfolio of hotels by targeting opportunities in cities and destinations in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. Jumeirah recently announced new properties in the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Geneva, Switzerland.

Mandarin Oriental to open Rome hotel
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is developing its fifth property in Italy, with a hotel in Rome set to open in 2026. The property will be located within The Gardens of Sallust, an ancient Roman
archaeological site close to some of the city’s cultural attractions. The 108 guest rooms and suites will be housed across 10 19th-century villas, some of
which will feature private gardens and terraces. The property will have six restaurants and bars, as well as fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools and a sundeck.
