Celebrity ships to visit 70 countries in ‘ambitious’ 2024-25 programme


Celebrity Cruises has unveiled its 2024-25 programme and dubbed it the line’s “most ambitious season of sailings ever”. The programme contains nearly 500 sailings to more than 250 destinations in 70 countries on the line’s fleet of 16 ships. Seven of the fleet will sail in Europe, with 153 cruises visiting nearly 100 destinations.


Celebrity Apex will homeport in Southampton for the first time, hosting Norwegian Fjord sailings. Celebrity Ascent will embark on its inaugural European season with itineraries visiting Spain, Italy, France and Greece, while Celebrity Beyond will operate 10 and 11-night itineraries to Greece, Istanbul and Naples. Eight of the line’s ships will offer Caribbean itineraries ranging from three-night weekend getaways to 12-night voyages. Celebrity Edge will homeport in Alaska and will be joined in the region by Celebrity

Cunard has been forced to delay the delivery


of new ship Queen Anne due to supply chain issues. The sold-out maiden cruise, a seven- night sailing from Southampton to Lisbon, on January 4, 2024, has been delayed until May 3. Passengers have been automatically transferred to the new seven-night maiden voyage, visiting La Coruña and Lisbon.


The ship’s new maiden season will include the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Canary Islands and Norwegian fjords. cunard.com


Polar cruise brand Quark Expeditions is introducing a 12-day itinerary along the west coast of Greenland as part of its 2024 Arctic season. The line will offer sailings to Svalbard and also the Canadian Arctic. Many of the journeys will be on new ship Ultramarine, one of four expedition vessels in Ìhi yiiÌ in >``iÌion Ìo > pair of icebreakers. Shore trips include heli-skiing and hiking using the ship’s two helicopters, sea kayaking and mountain biking. Marketing vice-president Wendy Batchelor said: “We’ve Àiwni` oÕÀ «oÀÌvolio ov ovv- ship adventure options to match the tastes of every type of traveller. We’ve also introduced a novel new itinerary in west Greenland, and we’re welcoming back favourite voyages to Spitsbergen and the
