LOCATION: This jewel of the Rocco Forte crown is situated on elegant Via del Babuino between Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo – two of Rome’s most famous piazzas.

THE FACTS: Hotel de Russie became part of the Rocco Forte Hotel family in 2000, but the building’s vibrant history extends far beyond that. Dating back to the 19th century, it takes its name from the 1820s when it was a hangout of international aristocracy – including representatives of the Russian Imperial House and numerous Russian intellectuals. Today the hotel boasts 120 rooms, of which 34 are suites. The Stravinski Bar, meanwhile, is the perfect spot for a sundowner.
