Silversea Cruises has pushed back the launch of its first Nova-class ship by a month until August 14, 2023. Silver Nova had initially been scheduled to depart from Southampton on July 15, 2023. The setback was blamed on “the global situation” and the vessel is now expected to make its maiden voyage on a round-trip from Fusina (Venice). News of the delay came as the line marked the start of the construction of Silver Ray, the second ship in the Nova class, which is set to join Silversea’s
fleet in summer 2024.
