One of the show’s outstanding matte paintings, an unusual expense for series television.
Curtis Harrington and comics writer Dennis O’Neil. Arriving in another 12-person city, Logan and Jessica discover body- snatching aliens who send them to a gratuitous Brothers Grimm forest.
The other writers are Shimon Wincelberg (HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL) and Michael Michaelian, while the only other director is Steven Stern (THE DEVIL AND MAX DEVLIN). Executive produc- ers are the hardy team of Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, who scripted WHITE HEAT before moving into TV series such as MANNIX and CHARLIE’S ANGELS. Laurence Rosenthal composed an action theme heavy with electronic laser-blasts, and other music is provided by Jeff Alexander, Bruce Broughton, and Jerrold Immel.

PIRANHA 3DD
aka PIRANHA DD 2012, Starz/Anchor Bay, $29.99, 82m 28s, BR/DVD By Shane M. Dallmann
The sequel to Alexandre Aja’s
2010 3D PIRANHA redux [re- viewed VW 164:62] picks up one
year after the latter left off, and ignores its last-second “giant” punchline. The screenwriting team of Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (responsible for the Feast series and most of the Saw sequels) were joined by Joel Soisson to concoct a story to be orchestrated by three-time FEAST director John Gulager (son of actor Clu Gulager, who obligingly appears as an early cameo vic- tim). The result—budgeted at an alleged $20,000,000 (!) and fea- turing genuine 3D as opposed to the previous film’s conversion job, was barely released to theaters by by the Weinsteins’ Radius-TWC division, which simultaneously offered it to home “on demand” viewers ahead of the Blu-ray/DVD edition. As Clu’s fellow victim, Gary Busey defiantly bites the head off
