Nachdem sie monatelang von zu Hause aus gearbeitet haben, haben die Briten “laxe” Cyber-Sicherheitsgewohnheiten entwickelt, so eine Umfrage von Mimecast zum Thema Cyber-Sicherheitsbewusstsein. Sie ergab, dass 63% der befragten britischen Arbeitnehmer ihre persönlichen Geräte benutzen, um auf die IT-Systeme des Arbeitgebers zuzugreifen. Fast 60% leiten persönliche E-Mails an ihre berufl ichen E-Mail-Konten weiter und umgekehrt, da die Grenzen zwischen Privat- und Berufsleben “verwischen”. 42% der befragten IT-Führungskräfte berichten, dass die meisten Sicherheitsvorfälle beginnen, wenn ein Mitarbeiter auf einen böswilligen Link klickt, der in einer bösartigen E-Mail enthalten ist.

The number of whistle-blower alerts that were made to the UK Information Commissioner’s Offi ce (ICO) about potential data breaches and the misuse of customer information by organisations has reached a new high, jumping 34% to 427 in 2019/2020, from 319 in 2018/2019, law fi rm RPC has reported. Of the 427 whistle- blower reports that were made, further action was taken with 68 of these reports, including 23 being taken into further consideration for ICO investigations (in the previous year, 55 whistle-blower reports were considered). Whistle-blower reports have ‘increased substantially in the two years since GDPR was introduced [in May 2018],’ RPC says. | rpc.co.uk
