Date: 2 September Blog Title: Busy, busy! Followers: 37 Hi, all! Only getting back now. I have been flat out to say the least!


The whole school are back now and, as big as I thought the school is, I have to race through the corridors to get to class on time. It’s relentless! Although the classes are 40 minutes long – I love that, by the way – there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day to get all done. I am running everywhere … something that is not allowed in corridors I have been told twice in the last week!


Some of the Leaving Cert students look so old! I can’t get used to that. They pretty much run the school – well, the hall and the yard anyway. I don’t bother them much – they have no idea who I am anyway – but they do seem sound. I had imagined a bunch of bossy bullies! Don’t tell them that.


It’s funny, you know. Last year, we were top of the ladder in school. We got to enjoy certain privileges that the younger classes in the school didn’t. You know what I mean – we got to go on trips, compete in blitzes, stage a summer play, do jobs around the school that were enjoyable and took up class time (ahem!). Now, though, we are right back down at the bottom. A bit like landing on a snake in snakes and ladders. Not a bad thing, really. But not something I was prepared for. We are the Junior Infants of secondary school, I guess … only without the snotty noses and yoghurt-covered jumpers!
