Celebration Time Our Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie, hits another milestone this year with 2026 marking 50 years since her death. Her stories are as popular as ever and this “literary institution” continues to enthral audiences around the world both on page and on screen. Read her books, admire her holiday home in Greenway or go visit her recently unveiled statue on the harbour- side in Torquay.
Top Tip: Many happy returns also go to our all-time favourite and locally loved bear Winnie The Pooh. It’s 100 years since the original book was published so do pop into The Community Bookshop on Foss Street and check out their very own Pooh Corner.
