Petronas new refinery in Melaka Petronas will be entering the European Group III base oil market in strength next year.
Petronas are building a new Group II & III refinery in Melaka, Malaysia with a production capacity of 6,500bbl/day (330,000 Tes/Yr), 50,000 Tes/Yr of Group II and 280,000 Tes/Yr of Group III. When it comes on stream in early summer 2008 Petronas will be running a good part of the oil through their own in-house distribution company now being set up in the Netherlands.
