NEWS | Round-up People ARMERA LIZZIE SMART


Armera welcomes Lizzie Smart as sales office and marketing manager. Smart is an experienced graphic designer and worked with the company in its early days, creating the brand identity and logos. She has also been involved with web development and catalogue design. Smart said: “Having been involved from the beginnings in our company branding, I’ve enjoyed working with all areas of Armera and with a great team of people. I cannot wait to get stuck into the day-to-day customer-supporting role and overseeing the sales office. I look forward to getting to know our customers and their needs to enable me to provide superior Armera service.”

SUMMERBRIDGE ASA DIXON


Hull-based doors and cabinets manufacturer, Summerbridge, has appointed Asa Dixon as its new business development manager for Yorkshire and Lancashire. Dixon has 15 years’ experience in the construction industry and previously held positions at Birtley Group and Saint-Gobain. Speaking about his new appointment he said: “I have joined Summerbridge at an exciting time for the business with lots of new enquiries coming in for this UK manufacturer. We have continued working throughout the recent pandemic and it’s a perfect time to join, with our retail customers and showrooms opening up again.”


HPP GARY KINDER


Gary Kinder has joined Hill’s Panel Products (HPP) as purchasing manager. Kinder has experience with several KBB manufacturers, including Eurospace Furniture, Symphony, Richmond Cabinets and JT Ellis. In 2003, Gary attained the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification. “I’m delighted to have joined HPP,” he said. “I’ve known the company for many years through previous roles as a buyer. It has a great reputation and history. I’m working across the business on a variety of projects including stock control and buying, evaluating existing product ranges and potential new ones, and looking at product sales reports and data.”


KITCHENEX TOM HARRIS


Tom Harris has been promoted to sales director at KitchenEX. Harris has been with the company since it launched in 2012 and has worked in a variety of roles, including administration, sales and manage- ment. “I feel so privileged to be part of such an incredible and devoted team,” he said. “I will continue to ensure that we work closely with our retailers, increasing the range we are able to offer them and maintaining the KitchenEX values of offering high- quality appliances and exemplary service”. Director Vicky Harris added: “We are thrilled to have Tom responsible for driving the company growth forward in the coming years.”

RICCI THOMPSON


Ricci Thompson has joined JJO as area sales manager for its Eco Bathrooms brand. He will cover north Wales, the West and East Midlands, East Anglia and the northern Home Counties. Thompson said he is enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and building new business relationships, as well as revisiting some old ones, as he believes that there are exciting times ahead in the industry. National sales manager Matt Hall said of Thompson’s appointment: “Ricci will be a great addition to the team. We all look forward to welcoming him on board, and I have no doubt that he will further improve the quality of our Eco Bathrooms sales team.”


MOORES FREYA SAPCOTE


Moores has invested in its apprentice programme with appointments across its wider business. Freya Sapcote is the company’s first HR apprentice and she will be with Moores for two years while she achieves a recognised HR qualification. Head of HR Hayley Hodge said: “Moores has always been committed to training and investing in the next generation of talent. Our apprenticeship programme is part of a longer-term development and succession plan that is set to strengthen the many sectors of our workforce, including finance, kitchen installation and engineering.” Moores apprentices are supported by The Apprenticeship Levy.
