Natural sculptures Get building!
Create a sculpture using natural objects. Gather any natural objects – leaves/fallen flowers/stones/twigs/feathers/berries. Create a 3D sculpture using the objects with string and tape or glue. You can also makes sketches of your nature findings. Covers KS1 & KS2 art, geography and science.

Computational thinking Teach decomposition and pattern recognition.
Task small groups of children to separate and sort themselves into groups using the visual aids of large outdoor shapes, colours etc. Allowing freedom for the children to form themselves into groups highlights the various ways in which data can be sorted. For example, a pack of outdoor shapes could be used as a prompt and children could choose various types of groups i.e red shapes together, circles together, shapes with 4 sides etc.
