Ann Allen Executive Director of Estates and Commercial Services, University of Glasgow
Ann joined the University fi ve years ago and is the Director of Estates and Commercial Services. She is a property specialist, who before joining the University led a small Asset Management team at John Lewis. She previously held property roles within HBOS, Sears and Segro. The current role includes responsibility for the £1 billion redevelopment of the Gilmorehill campus as well as delivering facilities and commercial services in a way that focuses on students and staff. Ann is a trustee of Ethical Property Trust as well as being a member of the Leadership Board for Construction Scotland and a trustee of National Museum of Scotland.

Caroline is RIBA Vice President Practice & Profession, RIBA Role Model, and sits on the RIBA Council. She is also owner and Board Director of HLM and heads up education in the UK and Internationally. She provides high level consultation as well as personal input throughout projects, and is a member of the UK think tank Policy Exchange. Her crucial role in leading teams through productive and enjoyable consultation resulted in HLM being given a Special Award in the Sunday Times, Small Best Companies List for ‘Best for Engaging with Schools’.
Victoria Emerton Conference Director, Education Estates
With a degree in nutrition and food science and 15 years’ experience in Knowledge Management in the food industry, Victoria has for the past 7 years, worked as conference director on a diverse range of events, including Making Pharmaceuticals, Making Foods, Healthcare Estates, Hospital Innovations, and Education Estates. Previously a school Governor, and as a parent, educational environments and estate management are a subject of personal and professional interest, and working on the Education Estates event for the past 5 years, learning from our expert Advisory Group, has been a fascinating and rewarding experience.
Claire Jackson Education Director, Galliford Try
Education sector lead responsible for education strategy nationally and for management of ESFA Frameworks. Our education work is the biggest single sector across the country for the Galliford Try Building Division, with the value of projects on site and on the order book touching the £1billion mark for the fi rst time in 2016. Galliford Try is now one of the most active and successful players in the education sector nationally and has become known for being at the forefront of innovation in school design and construction.
