Kara Healthcare expands with multiple care home acquisitions
Kara Healthcare has acquired seven care homes in a deal facilitated by full-service law firm Shakespeare Martineau. Aria Care celebrates successful merger with Future Care Group
Aria Care has marked the completion of its merger with Future Care Group with celebrations across its new care homes. The merger, which took almost seven months, saw Aria Care take over Future Care Group’s 18 homes. Throughout the merger period, the Aria leadership team consulted with stakeholders in order to prioritise continuity of care for residents.
Aria Care CEO Caroline Roberts said: “I must thank everyone for their commitment and dedication during this time of transition and for their trust. We have a team with a shared vision across our 68 communities and almost 4,000 colleagues, continuing to build on our strong foundations and delivering our core value of ‘care from the heart’. It’s been a considerable undertaking with so many of the team going above and beyond and I want to thank each, and every person involved. “In just over two years since the inception
of Aria Care we have achieved significant milestones in colleague retention, resident experience and investment in the communities. Aria has always had a clear vision to grow through acquisition and new builds and the addition of the Future Care Group has brought that vision to reality. We feel we are well placed for future growth during 2025. It’s an incredible start to the year.”

HC-One Scotland has celebrated the opening of a brand-new office space and training facility at its Quayside Care Home in Glasgow. HC-One Scotland MD Maxine Smedley said: “The opening of our new office space has given us the chance to reflect on the progress we have made, the residents whose standard of care we have improved, and the awards and recognition that all this hard work has deservedly received.
“I am immensely proud of what we have
achieved so far and I know that everybody within the organisation is focused on continuing the wonderful work that we know will make a big difference for our residents, carers and the communities we serve in Scotland.”
