IHEEM Register for Authorising Engineers (Ventilation) launch

The IHEEM Ventilation Technical Platform is pleased to announce the launch of its Authorising Engineers (Ventilation) Register.

The Technical Platform has established a formal structure (Fig 1), which includes the following specialties:

Board of Registration (BoR) of Authorising Engineers (Ventilation) The BoR will be established to provide a transparent, peer-reviewed, and robust process for those working as Authorising Engineers (Ventilation) (AE(V)) or wishing to become AE(V)s. AE (V)s are able to use the peer review process and the IHEEM trademarked Authorising Engineer insignia to provide independent assurance to clients of their ability to fulfil the role of AE(V). In addition, it is hoped that the Register will enable those looking for an AE(V) to select potential providers from an independently assured register managed by IHEEM to ensure that quality standards and a code of conduct are followed to provide a quality AE(V) service.

Details of the Application Process and Competency standards, including the Code of Conduct, are downloadable from the IHEEM website, at www.iheem.org.uk
