How has the pandemic impacted the product creation process?

"COVID-19 had of course an impact on how our game development teams operated. Whereas in normal times, the game studios are buzzing with creativity, lively exchange and interworking, we had to sustain this high level of collaborative effort while several teams were working from home office.

"As in many other industries and work environments, this

challenge was tackled through a combination of aspects: The swift introduction of some new practices to ensure full process transparency for all team members and, most importantly, the full commitment of each individual. Even before the pandemic, the area of digitalisation was one of our strengths, but in the past year, we have also been able to develop even further and achieved the current peak level of digitalisation across all areas.

"As a result of this, the development teams were able to immediately refocus on games and products that will provide a fresh boost of attractions for the moment when gaming operations reopen globally and players can return to their preferred venues – which is where we are now in most markets.
