Custom solutions Different plastic products have very different service profiles and for some applications, such as packaging, stabilisation requirements for process- ing are much more demanding than for service life. For such scenarios, Taiwan-based Everspring says it can offer customised combinations of well-prov- en stabilisers – such as its Evernox range of hindered phenolic AOs and Everfos range of phosphites – together with highly effective “boost- ers” such as Everstab FS042. The latter is a dialkyl hydroxylamine which acts as a catalytic chain- breaking radical scavenger. “These systems are more than capable of ensuring the polymer is well stabilised even under the most demanding processing conditions,” says Dr Niall Marshall, Technical Manager for Everspring Middle East.
