Our EP Type-3 seal is a custom seal designed for polymer dryers, mixers, and extruders. It proved invaluable for Amfine Chemical Corp., a supplier of additives and PVC stabilizers. Amfine faced an issue with a dryer used for nucleating agents, requiring a deeper vacuum to meet quality standards. Existing seals were inconsistent and couldn’t achieve the desired vacuum level. MECO’s distributor provided a tailor-made seal, resulting in remarkable performance improvements. The new seal consistently approached zero Torr, ensuring predictable cycle times and product quality. This successful seal installation saved Amfine a substantial $1 million project.
