Plastics World Expo conference programme finalised for Essen

Conference programmes have been announced for the AMI Plastics World Expos, which take place at Messe Essen in Germany on 14-15 June 2023 and include the third Compounding World Expo. The conferences are free-to-attend

and are focused on plastics com- pounding, plastics recycling, and testing. Compiled by the expert conference teams at AMI, publisher of Compounding World, the programmes include business debates, technology talks, and practical training seminars. “The conference sessions present a

great opportunity for attendees to identify key market trends and oppor- tunities, learn practical tips for making their manufacturing operations more efficient, and discover innovative technologies to give their companies a competitive edge,” said Eva Haak, Senior Conference Producer at AMI. The Compounding World Expo

features two focused theatres covering the latest technology and market developments. Separate panel discus- sions will explore the future for plastics compounders and masterbatch makers and examine how the industry is responding to regulatory and sustain- ability pressures. These involve senior representatives from companies such as Akro Compounds, Aksoy, Eurotec,

Gabriel Chemie, Inno-Comp, Lati, MOL Group, QolorTech and Wells Plastics. An overview of European polymer demand will be presented by Martyna Fong, Director of Market Intelligence at AMI. The dedicated conference theatre within the Plastics Recycling World Expo will host three separate panel discussions exploring regulatory issues, feedstock quality and availabil- ity, plus the use of recycled plastics in packaging applications. These feature representatives from key companies such as Amcor, APK, Berry and In- terseroh. In addition, Elizabeth Carroll, AMI’s Recycling and Sustainability Consultant at AMI, will detail the latest European market trends in mechanical and chemical recycling.

The Polymer Testing World Expo

conference theatre includes presenta- tions covering testing and analysis of plastics materials and products, with speakers from leading research and testing institutes such as Aimplas, Fraunhofer, Norner and ZBT, plus suppliers of advanced equipment, such as Bruker, Frontier Lab, Hitachi, Hunter Lab, OCS, Oxford Instruments and Schütz+Licht. Expo attendees can choose between any of the four conference theatres, as well as visiting the more than 220 exhibitors at the three focused free-to-attend expos.
