hell was keen to support the development of AHMS to build its knowledge about the FPSO’s end of

life performance. Additionally, the project will lead to the creation of a robust database for the development of new FPSOs. AHMS is a joint development between classification societies, operators, subcontractors and MARIN to provide real time structural integrity support for FPSOs.

to understand the in-service hull fatigue of the FPSO, which in turn, helps assure the long-term integrity of the hull. Bonga is the latest FPSO that features a fully operational AHMS, and follows on from several FPSOs, which have operated or are operating in the North Sea, West Africa and Australia. AHMS features a unique combination of measurement equipment, hydrodynamic and structural analysis design tools, as well as onboard and lifetime calculations. A real time, fatigue assessment for the Bonga FPSO is available, which not only shows
