She also treasures moments with her extended family and her “happy farm,” where she relaxes by caring for her chickens, each of which she knows by name. staff, or waving drivers as a crossing guard, Gardella leads by example and with purpose. “That’s what mentorship is about with all four of those ladies,” she said. “It doesn’t matter what, they’ve been there as a mentor for me. They gave me the encouragement I needed and told me to be me. I may not be the version of me that everybody’s going to need, but I’m the version I need to be. Vision is shining bright because I want that future me to be in someone else. And each one of them has inspired me.”
