EDITOR’S PICK Pastel
From clothes shops to showrooms, pastel colour a look at different ways pastel shades can
In this transitional period between spring and summer, many of us are looking for ways we can brighten up our style, not only through clothes but also in our homes. For homeowners looking for a more subtle way of introducing colour to their interiors, pastel shades are a perfect way to do this whilst avoiding the more obvious bold and vivid shades. However, the broad spectrum of pastel products now available means that the homeowner can make their floor as toned down or as eye-catching as they desire.
Play with Pattern
The beauty of pastel tones is that, as stated above, they can be as understated or striking as you like. For homeowners with fairly plain walls, introducing a patterned pastel is a great way to add interest without being too garish. As a contrast, a brighter but block colour pastel wall can be nicely complemented with a pale/ faded pattern in a lighter tone, such as cream.

Distressed Detail
The trend for an authentic, aged look is still going strong, showing no signs of petering out anytime soon. To add interest and even perhaps a continental feel to an interior, try a pastel tile with distressed detailing, like the Peronda Harmony tile.
