clare@opusbm.co.uk Hello and welcome to the May/June issue of Tomorrow’s Retail Floors!

The month of May has been a big one for the flooring industry, particularly on the retail side of things. As well as making preparations for Clerkenwell Design Week, many flooring professionals made the trip to Solihull for the annual Buying Groups’ National Flooring Show. The show once again proved a huge success and it was great to see so many familiar faces and meet with new ones. Based on the showcases on display and discussions we had there, the trends for the rest of 2019 are showing no sign of slowing down.

With all the bank holidays that we’ve got in the UK around this time of year, many homeowners are making the most of the long weekends and taking the chance to do that bit of DIY they’ve been putting off all year. But after the expense of paint, furnishings and everything else that comes with a room renovation, many are left with a tight budget when it’s time to update their flooring. To help you advise on the best ways for your customers to get the most out of their money whilst still making a big impact, we have a brand-new feature section dedicated to advice and ideas on the subject of renovations within a budget. From wood flooring updates to investing in sustainable options, you should be able to find some inspiration and guidance to meet a wide range of desired looks.

As usual, we also have the latest industry updates and product launches; as well as extensive focuses on Carpets, Rugs and Accessories and Kitchen Flooring.

I hope you enjoy the issue!
