WP GROUP RACKS UP THE BENEFITS FOR VIEW LOGISTICS


When View Logistics, part of historic carpet manufacturer Victoria plc, needed a bespoke storage solution for its warehouse extension, it called upon the trusted services of WP Group.


View Logistics is a dedicated business providing specialist stock management, warehousing, transport and logistical services to the flooring sector from its site in Hartlepool.


A sophisticated pick-and-dispatch service, with the capability to cut and wrap carpet using two high-speed cutting machines with a full sortation system, requires a high-density, purpose-designed carpet storage solution. This maximises storage capacity and ensures the efficiency of the warehouse despatch operation.


The site uses specially-designed carpet racking to manage over 150,000 sq ft of warehouse space capable of storing thousands of 4m and 5m carpet widths and pallets.


As a longstanding supplier to Victoria Group across the UK, including the Hartlepool site, WP Group was asked to design and install new carpet racking capable of adding significant storage capacity in a purpose-built “high bay” warehouse extension.


WP Group provided heavy-duty, high-density carpet racking, able to store carpet rolls up to 5m in length, maximising the storage capacity in the new warehouse building. WP’s solution,
