QSA CEMENTS ITS IRISH CONNECTION


The Academy for Excellence in Flooring not only trains industry professionals from across mainland UK, but also welcomes installers from Ireland keen to validate their expertise through the Master Installer programme.

With 12 years’ floor fitting experience, recently qualified Balterio Master Installer Adrian Brereton of Joe O’Connell Furnishings, was hoping to gain some new skills - as well as earn his prestigious badge -when he attended the course at the Academy’s Manchester facility.


Adrian explained: “I was hoping to learn a few tricks of the trade to speed things up onsite and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.


“The ease of floor repairs and board removal really stunned me and I soon realised that I’d been making a few mistakes in my attempts before. However, this is certainly not a crash course in learning how to fit floors, the Balterio Master Installer programme is for those with experience who are looking to attain a status as one of the industry’s best.”


Adrian’s attendance on the Balterio Master Installer programme now allows Joe O’Connell Furnishings to benchmark the quality of its wood and laminate floor installation work against other companies and is now widely used by the independent retail shop as part of its marketing efforts.
