We hear from two of the UK’s leading suppliers of vinyl, Polyflor and Quadrant, on their most recent product launches and installation successes.
POLYFLOR INSTALLS
Polyflor has just announced that a diverse range of its flooring products have been installed in the new state- of-the-art 40,000ft2
head quarters
of fashion house SRG Apparel, in Whitefield, Manchester.
Over 750m2 Polyflor products were
specified by Jenkins Design of Bury, and installed by Bramhall Flooring, including Expona Control, Expona Design, 2000PUR, Polysafe Arena and Modena PUR.
SRG Apparel designs, creates and supplies to UK market leading retailers such as Next, Tesco, Asda and New Look, to name but a few. This meant the headquarters will be exposed to a heavy footfall on a daily basis.
Within the entrance hall, a contrast of Expona Control in Warm Grey Concrete and Polysafe Arena PUR in Brushed Titanium was chosen, creating zonal areas throughout the first floor.
QUADRANT EXPANDS
Quadrant Carpets has extended its product portfolio with the introduction of the Fitnice woven vinyl flooring
WHY VERTISOL? James Scully, Managing Director of Quadrant Carpets, explained: “We were extremely keen to work with Vertisol to bring this exciting product to the UK market, because it genuinely ticks all the boxes. We are very proud to be the exclusive UK distributor for Fitnice, and very excited by the buzz that the product has created since we introduced it this March.”
WHY POLYFLOR? Senior Interior Designer, Louise Grimes, from Jenkins Design, commented: “My clients brief was to provide staff with an energetic working environment which would encourage creative thinking. We decided to specify Polyflor products as they offer fantastic on-trend design, whilst at the same time providing the necessary durability and safety.”
Expona Design in Aged Indian Apple was selected for the feature showroom due to its strong directional contrasts and eye-catching level of detail which complemented the overall design of this highlight space.
collection. This new collection, comprising four unique woven patterns, each available in a selection of modern colours and in sheet or tile format, has been developed to provide specifiers with beautiful yet extremely durable textured flooring.
Fitnice is manufactured in Spain by Vertisol, a leader in the production of woven vinyl fabrics for window blinds, wall coverings and flooring. Colourfastness is assured by Vertisol’s unique thermofixing process, which effectively seals the flooring surface, preventing the ingress of dirt. Durability is guaranteed by the use of Vertisol’s own Strong Yarn technology which features a PET core sheathed in a phthalate-free PVC skin.
