ENTRANCE FLOORING

Sponsored by Milliken MILLIKEN AND COMPANY

By combining science with design and insight, Milliken tackles the issues and concerns of today. Every day, our community of innovators is invigorated by the challenge of finding creative ways to enhance peoples’ lives and make the world around us easier, safer, more sustainable and more beautiful.

Milliken has long led the way for “knowledge-based” investment and innovation, and has accumulated more than 5,000 patents worldwide, since our founding in 1865. With 39 manufacturing facilities worldwide, and with sales and service operations throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia, Milliken’s nearly 7,000 associates work to create entirely new customer experiences, build for the future and create products that do good for the world.

Milliken has been recognised as one of the Ethisphere® Institute’s ‘World’s Most Ethical Companies’ every year since the award was first given in 2007. This has been achieved by only 13 companies, and this year Milliken is one of only 20 privately- owned companies to receive the award. This ongoing success demonstrates Milliken’s commitment to do business ethically.

As part of the Milliken Floor Covering Division, Milliken OBEX operates as a global provider of entrance flooring solutions and textile matting systems for circulation areas in public or commercial buildings. Our manufacturing facilities in the UK, USA, and China are supported by a local team of sales and customer service associates who are dedicated to promoting products that create a better living environment.

OBEX offers a large choice of products to provide a complete entrance flooring solution, and ensure the best possible floor protection against dirt and moisture coming from foot and wheeled traffic. These products are created with respect for the Environment and coordinated in design and colour to provide the perfect balance between function and aesthetics.

The OBEX range also offers a further cost advantage as it stands up to heavy wear and tear, and can perform for many years when maintained as per manufacturer’s recommendations. In fact, all products in the range are covered by a five-year wear guarantee. The modular tile design means that it is simple to install and replace if damage should occur,

and small areas can be replaced easily and cost effectively with minimum disruption.

Available in coordinated colours and patterns, OBEX entrance products are designed to work as a three-zone entrance concept, to best protect the appearance and cleanliness of a building and its floorcovering products.

The whole range is engineered to increase the functionality of a building’s entrance without forsaking elements of design or aesthetics. Simple and easy to work with, Milliken offers entrance systems that can be recessed or surface-mounted as well as exterior and interior applications.

Because of its high performance in dirt and moisture collection, the OBEX modular entrance matting system has been installed in the world’s busiest airports, including Atlanta and Beijing, to secure clean and safe floors in their demanding, high traffic areas. However, while selecting the right product is a good starting point, making sure it continues to perform is equally important. Daily vacuuming of the matting area and periodic deep cleaning are recommended to maintain durable performance.

OBEX does what you are paying for: it collects and hides the dirt at the entryway, decreasing the cost of cleaning frequency, maintenance and premature replacement of floorcoverings.

Milliken’s products bring together the spirit of innovation and engineering excellence of our parent company with the creativity and inspiration of our local design teams. By combining design with proprietary technologies and unique market insights, we make entrance flooring solutions that are as functional and sustainable as they are inspiring and original.
