WHAT’S NEW?
RENSAIR LAUNCHES A SMARTER SOLUTION FOR
INDOOR AIR POLLUTION Indoor Air Quality specialist Rensair has launched an affordable, WiFi connected air purifier for smaller indoor spaces. Lightweight (9.5kg) with heavyweight performance (clean air delivery rate of 460m3h), the Compact is ideal for SMEs, conference rooms, doctor and dental surgeries, classrooms and homes.
Leveraging Rensair’s proven, hospital-grade technology, the Compact combines HEPA filtration with germicidal UVC light in a smaller, quieter package. It is highly effective in removing a minimum of 99.97%+ of pathogens and other forms of airborne particulate matter, including bacteria, pollen, dust and mould. Five airflow speeds offer maximum flexibility, while 360 degree outflow ensures that clean air penetrates the entire room no matter where the unit is placed.
“Compact is definitely the strong silent type”, said Christian
CHSA CALLS FOR SUPPORT FOR CLEANING AND HYGIENE INDUSTRY IN THE
FACE OF THE ENERGY CRISIS “Our members are being hit hard by the soaring cost of both fuel and energy,” said Lorcan Mekitarian, Chair of the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA).
“We welcome the news that the Business Secretary is capping
Hendriksen, Co-founder & CEO at Rensair. “Despite powerful air circulation, it’s engineered to be very quiet, a barely audible 32dBA on the lowest setting. But it has brains as well as brawn and can be operated remotely to optimise clean air while conserving energy. Further IoT upgrades will be available soon.”
Using a smart app, multiple Compact devices can be programmed to automatically adjust the fan setting according to prevailing particle concentrations, switch to the maximum setting between scheduled meetings, or start/stop working based on location and time. Real-time alerts can be set to manage maintenance schedules and to reset the filter monitor after the filter has been replaced.
“The air purification market is unregulated and, as a result, is rife with performance overclaims,” said Matthew Johnson, Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen and Chief Scientific Advisor at Rensair. “That’s why it’s important to have
wholesale energy costs for businesses. However, certainty fosters growth and suggestions this support is limited to just six months does not provide it for the medium to long term.
“We are calling on the Chancellor to do three things. First, we want HMRC to adopt a flexible approach to payments, as was done during the pandemic, to ease cashflow. Second, we want a freeze on business rates. This will give members certainty in a very uncertain environment. Finally, our members work hard to be energy efficient. We want the Government to expand the support currently offered to energy intensive sectors.
“The Government must also keep an open mind, ready and willing to respond to changing circumstances in the coming months.”

independent certification. The Danish Technological Institute’s tests on Compact resulted in 99.99% of particles removed from a 20m3 room within 30 minutes.”
Rensair’s range of air purifiers now extends from the mighty Max, a bespoke industrial unit capable of 1,000m3h, to the miniature AirBubbl for vehicle occupants and personal spaces. Having completed a $7m Series A financing round in May, the company is intent on establishing clean air as a human right, protecting and enhancing lives through proven clean air technology. Key markets include offices, healthcare, care homes, schools and transport.

sized manufacturers the hardest. Many of these businesses lack the resources to absorb the extraordinarily high energy costs they are now facing. Without appropriate Government support, they will have to pass on the additional cost to distributors. These same distributors are already being impacted by the hike in the price of fuel. Passing on the cost to end users is almost unavoidable.
“We have seen unprecedented cost inflation in our sector,” continued Lorcan Mekitarian. “The unscrupulous will compromise on product quantity and quality. In contrast, CHSA members, by adhering to our Accreditation Scheme standards and signing our rigorous Code of Conduct, guarantee quality, fit for purpose products and that what’s on the box is what’s in the box.”
