The Key Safe Company Solves

The Mystery Of Lost Keys The Key Safe Company has supported residential lettings agency, Sherlock Homes by ensuring maintenance crews have unrestricted access when required.

The team at Midlands-based company, Sherlock Homes, which own 70 studios and 20 properties in both commercial and residential sectors, were regularly relying on suppliers to visit their properties to complete building work, meaning they were always required on site to grant access. This resulted in an impact on the team’s time and resources, but that was until they discovered The Key Safe Company.

OPHARDT hygiene’s the untouchable™ faucet system enables touchless operation of a system that dispenses water, soap, and disinfectant from one unit. The innovative, gesture-controlled interface minimizes cross- contamination and promotes the highest possible hygiene standard.

The high-end, minimalist design of the untouchable™, is both attractive

Kay Savage, Company Secretary for Sherlock Homes, commented: “When we set up the business, we had a number of homes on our books and a number of people requiring access to the properties. This included tenants and maintenance teams so we needed to find a solution to help us allow unrestricted access but still ensure builders and maintenance teams

and practical. The robust, stainless steel 316 faucet body resists corrosion and eliminates the build-up of bacteria. The completely touch- free unit reduces water consumption up to 70 % and benefits from an automatic hygiene-flush function to prevent the build-up of bacteria within the system itself.

could easily carry out necessary DIY and maintenance works.

The Key Safe Company, distributes the Supra C500 Key Safe, supplied Sherlock Homes with over 10 of its leading key safes; a secure metal key box, providing a safe method of externally storing keys to a property. This has allowed Sherlock Homes to move away from its traditional method of distributing keys, creating a streamlined approach to its business.

Since using the key safes, grounds care and maintenance teams have unrestricted access to the properties within the Sherlock Homes portfolio, allowing them to deal with maintenance issues without the team from Sherlock Homes having to be present.

Kay continued: “The C500 allows work to be carried out quickly without us having to be on site. Our primary use for the key safes is for maintenance purposes, there is always something that needs to be done and we love that we can just provide a code and the engineer will have access.”

The jury said of their decision: “All in all, OPHARDT succeeded in establishing sound design within a coherent system through the untouchable™ - this creates a significant added value for both users and operators.” TOMORROW’S FM | 15
