But how cost effective is the technology? Your organisation’s initial outlay on the technology installation could potentially be recouped within two to three years. Also, the bigger the building – and the more radiators it has – the bigger the discount you will be entitled to.
What evidence is there that the technology works? It’s obviously extremely important to demonstrate the effectiveness of the technology in terms of energy bill cost savings. How did Corpus Christi do this? The college ran a comparison between the building that was fitted with EcoSync’s technology and an identical building that was not. The results were impressive. The EcoSync system was installed during January 2022, and the results were as follows:
• January 2022 (which was an incomplete month as the technology was not installed at the very beginning of the month): Total energy bill reduced by 37%.
• February 2022: Total energy bill reduced by 47%. • March 2022: Total energy bill reduced by 50%
Was Corpus Christi satisfied with the results? The college’s initial project with EcoSync involved 32 intelligent controllers. The confirmation of the results convinced the college to fit a further 350 and it is now involved in discussions with EcoSync about rolling out an additional 150 controllers.
