FEATURE

Solid treatments eliminate the risk of spillages and other facility-based accidents. On average, a 120-litre drum of liquid treatment product can be replaced with only 20kg of solids, making solid alternatives easier to manage, store and transport.

Smaller packages require a smaller footprint and are much easier to manipulate compared to larger, heavier drums. They also have much reduced environmental impact during manufacturing and transport. The smaller packages and containers are easier to sort and clean, as part of a facility’s plastic recycling program.

“Water treatment is a matter of chemistry. The efficacy of

any product lies in its chemical formulation, rather than its delivery method.”

Through water removal in water treatment products, solids become safer for facilities and users. They reduce the use of limited resources such as fresh water. They require less fossil fuel use in their manufacture and transportation and increase the likelihood of successful recycling at the end of their useful life.

By using solid water treatment, FMs make their facilities safer for their workers and more sustainable for the environment.

On April 7th, NCH Chem-Aqua will be hosting a webinar focusing on the challenges of effective water treatment. We believe in success through science. We employ over 40 chemists and microbiologists to create products that are as effective as they can be, while minimising hazardous ingredients and environmental impact.
