‘SMART WEARABLES’ There has recently been a focus on the use of Connected Worker and related digital technologies including smart wearables, to help maintain distancing.
Wearables have been shown to support a back to work strategy and to nudge behaviours in order to maintain compliance. For less than the cost of a cup of coffee per employee per week for a typical wearable tag (in the first year) you would only need to gain 12 minutes per week of additional output through employees feeling safer and supported in order to gain a payback (based on a UK average salary of £30K/annum and a 40-hour week).
It is likely that the ROI would be significantly more. And, if the use of a contact tracing functionality, potentially infected workers could be isolated, and a productivity crisis averted.

ULTRA PASSES THE TEST Greyland has announced that Spray & Wipe Ultra, the company’s multipurpose antiviral surface cleaner, has been tested against the SARS-CoV-2 virus using the NEN 14675 Standard Method.
The testing has certified and proven that Spray & Wipe Ultra is effective against the novel Coronavirus, the cause of COVID-19. It kills 99.9% of the virus in less than 30 seconds.
Spray & Wipe Ultra has been tested against ‘surrogate viruses’, which experts considered sufficiently similar to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) to prove effectiveness against the virus itself. It met the requirements of the British and European standards. BSEN14476 and BSEN16777, with a contact time of less than one minute.

The sophisticated ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity is accurate in detecting distances down to 10cm accuracy – making it 20 x more accurate than Bluetooth. The connectivity will not cause interference with WIFI or other RF technologies.

Launched in April 2020, Spray & Wipe Ultra is an aldehyde- free, high-performance disinfectant with broad spectrum activity against bacteria, yeast and viruses. Available in 40% UK recycled polymer containers, in both five litre and 750ml trigger spray bottles, very quickly after launch it became Greyland’s top seller. More than £1m worth of Spray & Wipe Ultra was sold by Christmas 2020 and continues to be a sales success for the company.
