After months of research and rigorous testing Biovate Hygienics launched the world’s first plastic free bottle for commercial cleaning products to address the challenge of management of plastic waste. It was unveiled to great acclaim at The Cleaning Show at ExCeL London this year as part of the start-up’s ‘Zero Compromise’ range. Backed by around £100,000 R&D investment, the range features 500ml ultra concentrates of floor and wall degreasers and multi-purpose cleaners.

It leads the journey towards carbon neutral, sustainable cleaning by evolving the liquid products and the way they are packaged by launching the industry’s next generation biological cleaning products.
The new ‘Zero Compromise’ range represents a first innovation for the commercial cleaning sector - nature powered products, packaged in plastic free packaging. The products are all multi- tasking taking care of 99% of cleaning tasks within a cleaning environment, and use naturally derived bacteria, enzymes and plant-based actives for their primary cleaning power.
Although highly concentrated, the concentrates are not corrosive to skin and do not contain any petroleum derived ingredients. In their diluted form the products are not an irritant or classified in anyway.
Biovate has submitted the range to Ecocert for certification as a natural eco detergent, which will be a UK first.
In a time of economic hardship, we have ensured that the range is cost-effective costing a few pence per spray bottle, with our multi-purpose cleaner concentrate 500ml making up to 250 spray bottles.

If our empty paper bottles end up in landfills or oceans, they will biodegrade quickly without leaving behind any micro plastics. We use the phrase ‘from nature, back to nature’ to describe the circular process that our bottle and its plant-based, biodegradable materials go through. These materials are created by nature and return to nature when no longer needed or can be recycled as paper waste. The bottle is also compostable.
