J-Cloth Compostable by Chicopee About this Product/Service
J-Cloth Compostable from Chicopee is the original and only certified industrially compostable wipe for food preparation and service in the market. Designed for short-term use, it is food contact certified and colour coded, offering optimal safety for food service.
Both the wipe and polybag are compostable, and can be disposed of in the waste bin. With such sustainable alternatives, users can enjoy the convenience of disposable wipes, but also contribute to the reduction in landfill waste and promote circularity in packaging.
Instead, J-Cloth Compostable is made from bio-based raw materials – specifically, 100% natural biodegradable fibres from PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified sources. This helps to reduce landfill waste and answers waste management concerns.
J-Cloth Compostable is tested and certified as a compostable wipe according to DIN EN 13432:2000-12, the only wipe to achieve this accreditation.
In order to deliver a more sustainable solution, the polybag is also compostable, and the new carton packaging is made from FSC certified materials.
Food service professionals will be reassured that the J-Cloth Compostable is FCC certified (Food Contact Clearance), which makes it safe to use in food service establishments. To reduce the risk of cross contamination, the wipes are colour-coded according to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) norms, with red, yellow, blue and green options available.
The unique structure of J-Cloth Compostable ensures a more hygienic cleaning and can be used with a variety of cleaning solutions. After rinsing-out, it can quickly be disposed of in the food waste bin.
